Q:  How do I enroll my child?

A:  You will need the following information to enroll your child:

1. Valid birth certificate.

2. Copy of your child’s Social Security card.

3. Immunization record #3231. 

4. E.E.D.(Ear,  eye and dental) record #3300. 

5. Proof of residence.

 

Q:  What are the school  hours?

A:  Cook Pre-K, Cook Primary School and Cook Elementary hours are 8:00 a.m. to 2:40 p.m.

Cook Middle School hours are 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Cook High School Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m..

 

Q:  How can I monitor  my child’s  progress?

A:  Stay in close contact with your child’s teacher. If you have Internet access, you may monitor your child’s grades using the PowerSchool website. If you have an email address, you may register for PowerSchool to send you a daily/weekly update. Contact your child’s school for identification information.

 

Q:  How do I know which bus my child will ride?

A:  A representative from the Transportation Department will be available during Open House. During the school year, you may contact the Transportation Department at 549-6556.

 

Q:  When will report  cards be sent home?

A:  All Cook County Schools are on a nine week grading period. Progress reports will be sent during the grading period.

 

Q:  Is my child’s  school  accredited?

A:  The Cook County School System received District Accreditation in March 2018. This is the Third District Accreditation received by Cook County Schools. All schools are fully accredited.
